Some digital cameras take large pictures. You may find that you need to resize the photo so it is easier to email or print. If you have PhotoPlus8, you can resize the photo while keeping the aspect ratio the same as the original picture; here's how.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open your digital photo using PhotoPlus 8. You can do this by clicking on "Open Folder" on the second navigation bar.

  2. Step 2

Click on the "Image" option on the top navigation bar. This is the third option from the left-hand side. This will open up a drop-down menu. Choose the "Image Size" option from the drop down menu. This will open up an option box.

  3. Step 3

Ensure that the box marked "Maintain aspect ratio" is checked. This option makes sure that the photo will look exactly the same, just on a smaller scale.

  4. Step 4

Adjust the pixel size width and height to your needs. You can adjust this by changing the actual pixels or you can adjust the image size by percentages.

  5. Step 5

Change the print size. Use this if you are trying to make the picture print out a certain size. You can adjust this by inches, centimeters, points or percentages.

  6. Step 6

Make sure that the picture is the size you need. If you find that you need it larger, you should reopen the original picture and start all over again using different size specifications. Resizing an image to look larger may make it look pixelated.

  7. Step 7

Save the picture once it is the right size for your project. Use the "Save As" option if you want to save that picture while preserving the original.
