How to Plan a Trip to Universal Studios Orlando

Universal Studios Orlando offers activities just for kids and there are things that adults will love as well. Orlando is a large city and there are lots of hotels to stay at. Universal also has a few other attractions that you can visit while you're there.

Instructions

    • 1

Check out what the parks have to offer. Universal Studios also owns Islands of Adventure, Wet 'n Wild (a water park), the Hard Rock and CityWalk (which has more of an adult theme).

    • 2

Consider staying in one of the hotels at Universal. There are three to choose from, and guests receive a free "express pass" to jump to the head of the line at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. You and your family also get complimentary transportation to and from both parks and CityWalk, and preferred seating at some of the restaurants at Universal. If you don't want to stay at one of these hotels, search the local area for a hotel. Universal is in a good area of Orlando, so almost all of the hotels are decent.

    • 3

Pick a few places to eat in advance. There are so many food options, so depending on where you are at during a specific time, have a few ideas for restaurants you can eat at.

Tips & Warnings

  • Universal Studios has Halloween Horror Nights in October, if that's something that interests you. If not, stay away and avoid the crowds.

  • You can plan your trip any time, since Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios are both open 365 days a year.

  • Orlando is very hot during the summer, and since school is out, the parks are busy and the lines are long. It's best to go anytime between November and March.
