Instructions

    • 1

Heat 3 cups of water slowly over low heat in a small saucepan. Add 3 bags of chamomile tea to the water. Allow the water and tea bags to steep while simmering until the tea becomes a rich, golden color. Remove the water from the heat, leaving the tea bags in, and let the water cool to room temperature.

    • 2

Cut and squeeze the juice of one large, ripe lemon into the cold tea and stir well. Place your lemonade hair rinse in the refrigerator to cool. While you can use the rinse while warm or at room temperature, the cold rinse helps to close the pores in your hair, leaving it silky and soft while protecting it from damage.

    • 3

Lean your head over the sink or bathtub and pour the rinse over your head. Make sure you have placed a large saucepan or bowl below you to catch the runoff. Repeat the rinse until your hair and scalp are completely saturated.

    • 4

Tie your hair up or twist it into a towel and leave the rinse on your hair for 10 minutes. Rinse with cold water and allow your hair to air dry.
