1
Study the character you would like to draw to decipher personality traits and movement. Knowing a character makes it easier to put the character in action on paper.
-
2
Analyze the facial features of the character you are trying to draw. Notice the shape of their eyes, their mouth and their nose. Practice sketching each of these features on a separate paper until you are comfortable with the results.

3
Focus on drawing your character's hands and try sketching the hands holding different objects.
-
4
Create a rough copy of your "Ghost in the Shell" drawing, merging all the features to perfect it. Avoid unwanted smudging in your drawings by placing a paper napkin or white sheet of paper on top of your drawing paper and under your hand while you draw.
-
5
Show movement in your "Ghost in the Shell" character by showing their hair in motion. Decide what direction you want hair to be blowing, and whether you want all the hair to blow or just part of it. If your character has short hair, pay special attention to every little strand to show movement.
