Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Consider the natural light in your room and how that will affect any paint you choose. Picking a dark color in a bathroom with a lot of natural light will balance the room out, while a bathroom with little to no light should be colored lightly.
Step2
Choose an enamel paint that is waterproof. With the steam created from the shower and other hot water from the sink, a non-waterproof paint could peel and bubble easily. This will ensure that your paint remains new-looking and as beautiful as the day you applied it.
Step3
Find a washable paint that comes in the color you are looking for. Since bathroom walls tend to get dirty, you will easily be able to wipe it off. There are several washable paints available in various colors. Or, you may just choose an eggshell or satin finish.
Step4
Remember any accessories that will go with or clash with a specific paint color. Think about any towels or artwork you will have in your bathroom and what paint will complement those aspects.
Step5
Select an interior paint with mildewcide built in. Because moisture commonly builds up on bathroom services, selecting a paint with built-in mildewcides can kill a lot of bacteria that would otherwise start growing in your bathroom.
Step6
Have your paint retailer add a mildewcide to the paint, if you can't find a paint that comes with it built in.
