Start by getting all the money you want to send to Mexico together. It is better to take cash with you when sending money and get the teller to count through it and take note of it.

You can wire money through a money transfer service provider or through your bank. You will be charged a certain fee for sending the money. The more you wire to Mexico the more you will have to pay to send it.

Go to your local grocery store to see if they have a Western Union or other money transfer service available. Many convenience stores have this type of service also. If you're lucky, then you will have an actual Western Union store close to you.

Fill out the form with how much you plan to send to Mexico. Make sure you write your name correctly and put down your address and phone number as well as where and who you are sending it to.

Give your form to the attendant or teller and ask them to process your wire transfer. Take your receipt of your payment and then when you return home call your family and tell them the number for the transfer so they can pick it up on their end.

Both Western Union and Moneygram also offer online money sending services. The money is taken directly from your banking account or credit card and sent online to the money transfer office. You will need to fill out some forms and register to use this service.
In addition to big name money transfer services like Western Union and Moneygram, many local grocery stores or other businesses that cater to Mexican immigrants also may provide local, and cheaper, money transfer services.
