Wine drinking and collecting have become very popular hobbies in recent years. The experience involves more than just cracking open a bottle and pouring it into long-stemmed wine glasses. You will want to have a place to store and show your collections. If you don't have a cellar or room to house an extensive wine rack, try incorporating a wine rack into a baker's rack.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy a baker's rack that already has a wine rack built into it if you are looking for a useful piece of furniture that won't take up a lot of space. Baker's racks make great storage places that offer an opportunity to show your dishes, glasses and knickknacks. A wine rack, with wire hoops to hold the bottles is hung below one of the shelves.

  2. Step 2

Measure the space you have available under one of the shelves in your existing baker's rack. Choose a shelf that is seldom used or that will best show off your wine collection.

  3. Step 3

Purchase a single layer wood wine rack and attach it by screwing it into place with wood screws from the top down. You don't want the shelf to reach all the way to the lower shelf, but if the wine rack has a bottom, this won't matter.

  4. Step 4

Get a wire wine rack that is deep enough and fits under one of the shelves in your baker's rack. Attach it to a piece of wood as wide as the shelf and secure it under the shelf as you might with a wooden wine rack. Some retailers offer an under-the-counter wine rack, which is already fit for attachment and comes with all the hardware you need.
