1
Trim pieces of red, pink, white or silver cardstock into shapes like hearts, stars, circles or simple squares. Measure against a Pixy Stix to make the shapes about half as tall.
-
2
Cut a piece of decorative paper to layer over the cardstock. Consider cutting a sheet of Valentine's Day themed paper into strips to use as a border around the cardstock or into shapes to use as accents.

3
Adorn the Valentine's with embellishments like stickers, small die cuts, sequins, buttons, paper flowers or acrylic shapes. You can also create a design with liquid glue and then sprinkle glitter over the surface and tap off the excess.
-
4
Add a Valentine's Day message to the back of the cardstock with colorful pens, sticker letters or rubber stamps and ink.
-
5
Use sharp scissors to make two small horizontal cuts in the center of the Valentine, one above the other about an inch apart. Carefully slip a Pixy Stix through the holes so it will resemble a small sign. If you're having trouble threading it through, make the holes a little wider so you won't bend or tear the paper stick.

Consider making several of the Valentine's for a loved one, adding a different message to the back of each. Add song lyrics, famous quotes, inside jokes and other cute phrases that she'll appreciate. Gather them into a vase like a bunch of flowers or wrap them in colorful tissue and tie it shut with a piece of pretty ribbon.
