How to Have Fun at School

School might be mandatory, but that doesn't mean it needs to be boring. Even if you're not the academic type, with a little effort and creativity, you can make school days fly by and have fun doing it.

1. Seek out friends. If you're not in classes with a lot of people you know, look for people with similar interests, and try to make friends in your classes. You can always sit together and study together, and having a friend in every class makes school a lot more interesting.

2. Pursue projects that you like. Whenever you have a choice about a school project, pick something that actually interests you. It might seem easier at first to just choose a simple topic, but if you can get invested in what you're studying, you can enjoy school a lot more.

3. Make the most of your electives. The required courses might be boring, but use your free periods to do things that really interest you. Maybe that means heading out to the vocational facilities or maybe it means a drama or art class. Either way, have fun at school by taking classes you like as often as possible.

4. Do as well as you can in your studies. School is a lot more fun when you're not worried about failing all the time. Try to strike a balance between studying all the time and not getting any work done. Use study groups to make the work more fun, and you can actually enjoy school and achieve good grades.

5. Remember that it's temporary. No matter how much you hate school, try to keep things in perspective. There's always new people, new subjects, and new activities right around the corner, and graduation comes sooner than you think. So have as much fun as you can while you're there, because it doesn't last forever.
