How to Create an Email Account in Search Engines

Setting up an email account is free through many of the large search engines. Relocating with an email set up with a local provider can be a big hassle, whereas a search engine email is accessible from anywhere. Yahoo! and Google make it easy to communicate to a large group at once by setting up or joining a group, but you need an email account to use that feature.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose at least one search engine, such as Yahoo!, Google or MSN. These search engines allow you to set up an email account for free.

  2. Step 2

Create a user name that relates to you or your business. It may take more than one try until you find one that isn't taken (it must be unique from other users). Make sure names sound professional on a business email account.

  3. Step 3

Enter a password that you can remember. The search engine will often guide this process by requiring letters, numbers and a symbol of some kind. Letters and numbers alone make the password highly susceptible to hacking. Symbols create the highest level of security.
