How to Freshen up a Bathroom Before Guests Arrive

It's always the last place you think of before guests appear—then all of a sudden you think “oh no, the bathroom, what do I do with this room?” Here are some ideas.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flowers
  • Vase
  • Towels
  • Candles
  • Art
  • Hammer
  • Nails
  1. Step 1

Spruce up with some fresh flowers; they add both beauty and a pleasant scent to the room. However, if you don’t have time to buy them, or don’t have a garden to pick them from, maybe you have a silk arrangement somewhere else in the house. Just place it on the vanity or a nearby shelf and you’re done.

  2. Step 2

Bring out a new clean set of towels, or even a brand new set. Layer a smaller towel on top and roll up a hand towel next to the sink. Don’t leave the same towels you took a shower with in your bathroom when guests arrive.

  3. Step 3

Mask unwanted scents by lighting some candles. They will add a nice warm glow as well as a pleasant aroma.

  4. Step 4

Add artwork. It's as easy as having a nail and a hammer. Just hang up a nice photograph or piece of art and it instantly adds more life to the room. It's no longer just a bathroom.
