Things You'll Need:
- computer
- internet access
- your mind
-
Step 1
Think of hobbies that you are enthusiastic about or skills that you have acquired over the years such as doing handstands. Chances are you’ve amassed many unique skills and interests during your life. Imagine how it felt like to learn these skills and then use this information to write a how to article for others to follow.
-
Step 2
Check out the most new and popular how to articles on other websites such as wikihow, yahoo answers and associated content. If ehow.com has no or just a few articles on these topics, write a related article for the site. Chances are if the topic was popular on another site it will also end up being popular on ehow.com. Just make sure not to plagiarize as the consequences of this are severe.
-
Step 3
Pick a hobby or area of interest such as gardening, sky diving, or child care and then keep churning out articles about it. This strategy works for many people and allows them to write a lot of articles without having to come up with a whole new subject each time. Since many of your articles will interrelate with each other, doing this will minimize the amount of research that you have to do per article.
-
Step 4
Think of things that need to be done around your house or things that you regularly do in your everyday life. The material of your own life can be used as material for ehow articles. Since you are already familiar with this area, doing an article on something in it will require little or no research.
-
Step 5
Think of a skill you wish you had. Read up on it. Then write an ehow article. Not only will you learn something new in the process, but writing the ehow article on what you just learned will consolidate the skill you are trying to teach yourself. Studies show that people learn best by trying to pass their knowledge on to others. Plus, if you felt like looking up a certain skill or task chances are there are tons of other people out there looking to do the same.
-
Step 6
Look at the list of requested items on the ehow website. This can be found by clicking on the community tab of the ehow website.
-
Step 7
Write down all your ideas on a scrap of paper for future reference. All too often you end up forgetting your most amazing topic ideas. Stop this waste of ideas by recording them before your forget.
