Things You'll Need:
- A computer
- Internet access
- your mind
-
Step 1
First make sure your articles have pictures. Adding a picture to your article is really easy to do and it generates page views. It’s true. The human eye is attracted to visuals. Plus, people tend to view articles with this extra effort as more professionally done and more thorough.
-
Step 2
Use keyword optimization. Try to use some of the words you used in your title throughout the rest of your article. You don’t need to fit them in every sentence, but drop them casually into your articles in places where is makes sense in order to increase your view count and earn you more money. Doing so will also help you stay on topic.
-
Step 3
Use a down to earth title. Use a title that you think would actually match someone’s search query. De direct about it. If you are writing an article about how to brush your teeth name the article how to brush your teeth and not how to cleanse your mouth of cavity producing bacteria. Coming up with creative titles is good for journalists, but not for online content producers trying to get more views.
-
Step 4
Rate other articles on ehow and make friends with other content producers. Often times they will return the favor and view your work and give you positive feedback which will increase your earnings still further.
-
Step 5
Keep your article between four hundred and six hundred words. According to ehow, this is the general length they are looking for with articles. Keep your work within the current standard to increase your pay.
-
Step 6
Look at the calls for participation link on ehow to see what topics are being asked for. That way you can get a feel for popular topics to get a general idea of how many people will be willing to read your article. You can get to this page by clicking the community tab at the top of the page. On the same page you can also scroll down too see popular articles and the ehow of the day to get a better idea. Generally, relationship articles, holiday articles, and parenting topics are always popular.
-
Step 7
Lastly, make sure to add related articles and supporting links when you are submitting your article. Doing so will help search engines find your article and will place it higher up on the search query response results.
