Summer is a great time for photographing birds. Catching our wild life in action without commercial interruption can be an experience in itself. It can actually make you feel better about yourself and at the same time learn to respect nature.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a good digitial camaera
  • a place where birds hangout
  • patience
  • a pair of binoculors
  • time
  1. Step 1

    Pick out a place where there is allot of activity. By a lake or even a bird sanctuary. Have with you at least two cameras and a good pair of binoculars.

    If you live by a lake depending on the season, you can catch swans.

  3. Step 3

    Keep a journal of the birds you do see and try to photograph and name them. Get to know there specific calls

Tips & Warnings
  • Wear light clothes when taking pictures
  • Wearing a hat is advisable

on 7/28/2008 Good article! It took me a long time to learn to use a sighting scope or binoculars to find the birds and THEN the camera to take pictures. I would try to use my camera with the lens zoomed out. This has too narrow of a view for finding birds.
