How to Make Glass and Window Cleaner
Making your own glass and window cleaner is efficient and saves money, in addition to being safer for the environment than many commercial cleaning products found on grocery shelves. The natural ingredients in homemade glass cleaner do not contain toxic fumes and when you have the ingredients at home, you'll never run out of the cleaning solution. Things You'll Need
- Water
- Rubbing alcohol
- White vinegar
- Measuring cup
- Spray bottle
- Newspaper
- Cloth
- Ammonia

Vinegar Solution

Mix together 1 cup of tap water, 1 cup of rubbing alcohol, and a tablespoon of white vinegar in a measuring cup. Stir to combine the ingredients.

Pour the solution into a spray bottle. Purchase a spray bottle from a retail store, or recycle an old bottle of cleaning solution to use.

Spray the windows with the solution and wipe down. Save money by using newspaper to wipe down windows, or use a lint-free cloth.
Ammonia Solution

Combine 1 cup of tap water, 1 cup of rubbing alcohol and a tablespoon of plain or lemon-scented non-suds ammonia in a measuring cup. Stir to combine all of the ingredients.

Pour the ingredients into a spray bottle.

Apply the solution to glass and windows, and then wipe down thoroughly.
