Having a calendar in Excel can be a great tool to have on hand, especially at the office. You can use it to store all your appointments, dates, and information in one area or use it as a backup to Outlook.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Turn on your computer and open Excel.
Step2
Click on "File" in the tool bar and select "New." This should open a sidebar to the right of your spreadsheet.
Step3
Check to see if you have a calendar template already loaded onto your system by clicking "On my computer." This will open the "Template" window; click on the "Spreadsheet solutions" tab. You should now see a list of the templates available on your computer.
Step4
If you have a calendar template available, simply select it and then click "OK" to open the calendar template. If you do not have one available, click "Cancel" and then click on "Templates on office online." This will open your Internet browser to a page containing templates.
Step5
Find the link for calendars and click it. Then choose what kind of calendar you need. Once you find the appropriate calendar, click the "Download" button. This will download the template to your Excel "Spreadsheet solutions" section. You should now be ready to use the calendar as needed.
