Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flowers
  • Fillers
  • Bridal holder with floral foam
  • Floral wire
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Cutting pliers
  • Tall vase
  1. Step 1

Select the flowers in multiple colors and sizes, being careful not to overpower the bride. Soak the floral foam and use a flower vase to hold the arrangement as you are constructing the bouquet.

  2. Step 2

Place greenery, vining or line-type foliage, all around the holder. Stephanotis, heather or ivy would be a nice choice. Begin at the base of the bouquet holder begin to insert the flowers to form a cascading effect. Remove all thorns if you will be using roses.

  3. Step 3

Insert securely into the floral foam so each flower stem will receive moisture.

  4. Step 4

Add more filler and greenery into the back of the foam, in a circular pattern. Finish by adding additional flowers around the perimeter of the bouquet.

  5. Step 5

Finish the arrangement with a ribbon, by making a loop, twist, then another loop. Do this about three times, leave a tail, then secure with floral wire. Attach the wire into the lower back part of the holder. Clip ends of the tail at an angle for a finished look. Stand back and hold the bouquet to make sure it seems balanced.

Tips & Warnings
  • Bouquets are made with either fresh or silk flowers.
  • Wiring and taping the stems is optional.
  • Secure all stems into the floral foam holder to prevent flowers from falling out.
  • Conceal the mechanics of the arrangement.
