Step1
Large picture books are an excellent tool for teaching children about animals. Make it a point to put a good book about animals into your daily routine.
Step2
The aquarium is a great place where children can see live fish and other aquatic animals. The experience will thrill them as they learn all about ocean life.
Step3
The zoo is a wonderful place to get up close to animals that one would only see on safari. A day at the zoo is great fun and a great experience for adults as they learn about animals through the eyes of a child.
Step4
Pets
Pets are a real hands on learning experience for children. If you cannot have a pet of your own, visit a friend with one.
Step5
Television programs such as Animal Planet and National Geographic offer very interesting shows about different animals. If you do not have access to these programs, some are available on DVD for purchase.
