MAKE PUMPKIN BARS

Pumpkin bars are so yummy, and they make a great accompaniment to any dinner, especially a Thanksgiving potluck.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Cups flour, all purpose
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, granulated
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 can of pumpkin, 16 oz.
  • 1 cup oil
  • cream cheese frosting for the top
  1. Step 1
     

    In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, baking soda, and spices. Mix in the pumpkin, oil, and eggs until the are combined.

  2. Step 2
     

    In an ungreased baking pan, 15X10X1 inch, spread out batter evenly.

  3. Step 3
     

    Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. The bars should be done when a toothpick inserted in the middle of the pan comes out clean. When the bars are done, cool them on a rack for at least 2 hours. Spread cream cheese frosting on the top and cut into bars. Make 24 medium or 48 small bars.
