make Gramma Kalchik's Bohemian Cucumbers

A traditional bohemian recipe for fresh cucumbers.

This is a fun way to use ccucmbers and add fresh vegetables to your diet.

Kids love it too!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cucumbers
  • salt
  • water
  • vinegar
  • sugar
  • a smile
  1. Step 1

Pick some fresh cucumbers out of your garden.

  2. Step 2

Wash them up and peel down the sides leaving only little green strips.

I leave three thin strips - some people leave more.

This leaves a nice dash of color for your lovely cucumber dish.

  3. Step 3

Slice them nice and thinly, but not too thin or they'll fall apart!

  4. Step 4

Give them just a little sprinkle of salt.

Mix them with equal parts of:

    Water

    Sugar

    Vinegar

  5. Step 5

Place them in the fridge for a few hours.

They will stay in the fridge for about a week.

  6. Step 6

Don't forget to save a few to put on your eyes
    after all that hard work!

  7. Step 7

  8. Step 8

Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, so they lit a fire in the
craft. Unsurprisingly it sank, proving once again that you can’t have your kayak and heat it too.

Tips & Warnings
  • I read today in the paper that the Pope was a soccer goalie in his youth.
  • Apparently, even as a young man he tried to stop people from scoring.”
