How to Cheat in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories

Like other Grand Theft Auto games, Vice City Stories prevents you from accessing certain areas early in the game. However, you can "cheat" and get to these areas early, allowing you to make certain later sections of the game easier, particularly the "Empire building" option. It may take a few tries, but with persistence, you can get there rather easily.

• Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories game

1. Travel to Viceport airport and steal the Yankee truck parked just south of the large ship.

2. Drive to Starfish Island and go behind the Diaz mansion. Head straight east toward the bridge.

3. Turn the truck around and drive backwards toward the bridge wall keeping the right side of the truck flush with the wall.

4. Keep going until the wheels are almost but not quite at the water's edge. Use your multiple camera views to line them up.

5. Exit the truck and jump on top of it.

6. Turn the camera to focus on the black railing. You should see a point where it juts to the east. Aim for this area and jump as high as you can towards it. You may have to jump a few times, but, finally you'll be on the bridge and past the "invisible wall" that keeps you from the East Island.

7. Finish certain quests early including popping the remaining 52 red balloons, making the 14 unique stunt jumps and starting the 17 extra rampages.

Tips & Warnings

• Don't get discouraged if it seems like you can't make the jump. There is only a tiny window of an opening, so you have to hit it just right.
