Instructions

    • 1

Squeeze out as much water as possible once thick hair is completely rinsed. Gently bring the hair together and twist it. Wring the hair out using the same technique as wringing out a towel.

    • 2

Wrap the hair in a towel for several minutes. This will allow the towel to absorb the excess water that is still left throughout the hair.

    • 3

Remove the towel and allow the hair to fall freely. Excess water will continue to travel down the hair shaft. Hold the towel at the bottom of the hair to absorb the excess water. Placing a towel on the shoulders will also catch the dripping water.

    • 4

Blot the bottom of the hair with the towel. Using your fingers, fluff the hair and begin to remove any knots and tangles that have formed. Start at the top of the scalp and work down to the bottom of the hair. If using a hair utensil, it is best to use a plastic hair pick with wide teeth to remove tangles.

    • 5

Lean the head towards the floor and bring all of the hair down towards that direction. Begin drying from the nape of the neck towards the ends of the hair. Run your fingers through the hair as you are drying. Continuously move the hair dryer over all of the hair. At this point, concentrate on drying the underneath of hair.

    • 6

Pick your head up and let your hair fall once the under side of the hair feels dry and cool. Again, run your fingers through the hair, randomly following with the blow dryer. Starting at the scalp, hold the hair at the top in between your fingers, and run the blow dryer down the entire section while moving your hand down to the bottom of the hair. Do this while moving around the head, always working with small sections of hair. Hair will begin to take shape when it is almost completely dry. Then it is time to go ahead and complete it with your favorite hair style.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use clips to hold back sections of hair while drying other sections.

  • Use conditioners to eliminate tangles and knots.

  • Use a thermal protector to protect the hair from the heat of the blow dryer.

  • Do not rub the hair dry with the towel as this will cause it to become weak and break.

  • Be gentle with hair when it is wet since it is very fragile.

  • Never blow dry in one area for too long. This can burn the scalp and damage the hair.
