Step1
Sign up for the game. Go to the link provided in the Resources section below and sign up for Virtual Villagers.
Step2
Earn tech points. Tech points are points that villagers earn by researching things in the lab. Once enough tech points are accumulated, you can purchase advancements. These will help your village to thrive. An advancement you can earn is to generate tech points faster. It might take a few tries to get villagers to start researching, but eventually they will come around.
Step3
Pick out a villager to become a farmer. The farmer will harvest plants, crops and fish for all villagers to eat. You will need someone to farm in order to keep the villagers from dying of starvation. To get him started, place your villager on the berry bush. This might take a few tries, but sooner or later they will come around and start farming.
Step4
Pick out a builder. A builder is someone who will build huts and other things that are needed in the village. Huts are an important part of the game, since you are only allowed so many villagers per hut. If you want your population to grow, you will need to keep building and building. Find a broken hut, then drag and drop your villager on it. Like most things, it might take several tries for them to start building.
Step5
Reproduce your villagers. This will be the only way that your village can get bigger. Pick out a female and male villager. They should be between the ages of 18 and 50. Drop one of them on the other one. If it works, they will say "Going Indoors." If not, they will run away. Normally it takes several tries for this to work. After they have done this for a while, it will go faster.
