Los Angeles is one of the largest cities in the United States, and as a result, it has an immense variety of international restaurants. Brazilian cuisine is no exception. Here are a few ways to enjoy the South American delicacies while you are in Los Angeles, California.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stop by M Grill on Venice Boulevard! This elegant and sleek Brazilian dining establishment is located right in the heart of Los Angeles on Wilshire Boulevard and is a wonderful option for Brazilian food lovers in L.A. From mashed yucca and spicy pork rib stew to churrasco, this is a lovely way to get the authentic Brazilian dining experience.

  2. Step 2

Visit Tropicalia Brazilian Grill on Hillhurst Avenue. This colorful and vibrant restaurant is aptly named, as it definitely delivers a very tropical ambiance. The food offered at Tropicalia is excellent, from the ceviche Brasileiro to the "Braziribs" (marinated short ribs in pepper sauce). Tropicalia will give you the atmosphere and excitement of a carefree summer afternoon strolling the streets of Rio de Janeiro.

  3. Step 3

Eat at Bossa Nova Cuisine on Sunset Boulevard. Located in perhaps the most exciting area of Los Angeles, this Brazilian restaurant offers up a great variety of seafood and other assorted Brazilian dishes. Be sure to try the Coxinha, a classic Brazilian dish of deep fried dough and shredded chicken. The grilled seabass sandwich is also highly recommended.

  4. Step 4

Dine at Taste of Brazil on Huntington Drive. Taste of Brazil is another authentic Brazilian restaurant with a summery and tropical flair. The food here will really make you feel like you were instantly transported to the bustling and crowded streets of Sao Paolo. The calabreza (Brazilian sausage) is especially tempting, as is the mandioca frita (deep-fried yucca).

  5. Step 5

Drop by Wood Spoon on West 9th Street in downtown Los Angeles. Wood Spoon has a casual, laid back, homey vibe and an especially amiable and warm staff. Not only is the atmosphere absolutely terrific, the Brazilian chicken pot pie is to die for, as are the yucca fries. Make sure to check out the exotic juices that are also available on the menu.

Tips & Warnings
  • Brazilian food involves a lot of meats (especially beef and pork), so vegetarians might not be as enthralled with the offerings as meat-eaters would be.
