How to Save a Muslim Marriage
Muslim couples are like any other couple in the world, which means that they too have their share of problems. Sometimes these problems can be quite bad and lead the couple towards separation or even divorce. That’s when it’s important to look at the Quran and discover exactly what should happen. To save a Muslim marriage, the couple should seek mediation through parties on either side and do everything within their power.

1
Set up separate bedrooms or have the husband or wife sleep on the couch. The Quran tells Muslim couples that when they’re having problems, they should stop sleeping in the same bed until things are back on track.

2
Tell the person what he did wrong and why you’re unhappy. Muslim couples should talk things through and share what’s going on and why they aren’t happy in the relationship. This can be done one on one or in a therapy session.

Bring together mediators, one from each side of the family. In other words, the wife should have one family member and the husband should have one family member. These mediators are used to show each person how the other feels and hopefully find a solution.

Try reconciliation only after both sides are happy. Once you’ve spent time in separate rooms and used the mediators to try and figure out what is happening in the relationship, you can try reconciliation. In some cases, couples can try reconciliation without the help of a mediator but only if they think they can make things work.

Do everything within your power to save the marriage. The main advice offered in the Quran is that both people in the relationship should do everything possible to save their marriage. Muslim couples should focus on saving their marriage and not trying to find a way out, like through divorce.
