How to Edit Music With GarageBand
Once you have recorded tracks using GarageBand, an audio-recording program that's part of Apple's iLife suite, you can go back and begin editing your music. There are a number of ways to edit a song, but the most-used method is trimming tracks.
Instructions
-
-
1
Open GarageBand. Click on "File," then "Open."
-
2
Click on the track you wish to edit. Tracks are listed on the left-hand side of the screen.
-
-
3
Look at the bottom of your screen. You should see wavelengths of the track you selected. If you do not, select the scissors icon at the bottom of the screen to open the audio-editing window.
-
4
Use your mouse to highlight the portion of the track you want to trim.
-

Click "Edit" and then "Delete" to delete the highlighted portion of the track. You can also cut and paste portions of tracks using the same method. Select the "Cut" and "Paste" options from the "Edit" tab.
