  2. Step 2

Talk to other homeschooling parents. Ask to look at the curriculums they are using. Find out what they like and don't like about the curriculum. Take notes on what you learn.

  3. Step 3

View samples of curriculum materials online. Many companies have PDF files that you can download to give you a taste of the material in the curriculum.

  4. Step 4

Visit schools in your area to see the actual curriculum being used. If you like it, find out if it is available to homeschoolers or not. Do not forget to contact private schools. Take notes about your observations.

  5. Step 5

Visit home school curriculum review websites. Many parents will post their opinions and observations about popular homeschooling curriculums.

  6. Step 6

Review all of your notes and compare them to your educational objectives. You will quickly see which curriculum best fits your family's needs.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never buy curriculum without doing some research first. Your homeschooling curriculum represents a sizable investment, so take some time to do your research.
