Stream YouTube on the T-Mobile Wing

The T-Mobile Wing is a great smartphone. For streaming YouTube video directly from the site, the media player falls short. Unfortunately, installing the flash player doesn't fix the problem. With vTap, you are able to stream YouTube vidoes as well as other videos from the web. It's quick and easy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • T-Mobile Wing
  • Internet capabilities (paying feature from T-Mobile)
  1. Step 1

From the T-Mobile Wing's Today screen, click Start. Go to the Internet Explorer and type m.vtap.com in the browser then click the green arrow or enter.

  2. Step 2

Scroll to the end of the page and click "Download vtap for better searching..."

  3. Step 3

    Click "touch-screen phones"

  4. Step 4

The Download screen will appear. The display will read "Download 'vTap_ppc.cab to \My Documents\?" Click yes to download to the main memory, "My Documents" or click "Save as.." to download to a different location.

  5. Step 5

At the top of the screen, the status of the download will appear under the browser menu. The status may load slowly.

  6. Step 6

Installing vTap_ppc.cab will appear followed by the Launch vTap window. Click yes to launch vtap. After accepting the terms, the search menu will appear. Type YouTube, enter and click the YouTube Website folder.

  7. Step 7

Now, you are able to stream videos from YouTube on your T-Mobile Wing using the vTap platform.

Tips & Warnings
  • vTap acts as a portal for YouTube videos and media from other sites.
  • It's better to save the file to your storage card to free space from your main memory and avoid system crashes.
