Be the best at blackjack and hopefully make some money in Vegas!

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Regular 52 card deck
  1. Step 1

In order to count cards you will need to know the values of the cards.

  2. Step 2

Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten = -1

  3. Step 3

Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six = +1

  4. Step 4

Seven, Eight and Nine = 0

  5. Step 5

Now you need to begin counting the cards. Shuffle a deck of 52 cards and begin adding the cards. If you count the cards correctly you should end up at zero when the deck runs out. -20+20+0 = 0

  6. Step 6

The idea is that if the total number is low, say -10, then you know that a low card (2-6) is coming because you need to be at zero. So if you are showing 15 you can safely hit because the odds are that you will get a low card.

  7. Step 7

This way of counting take a lot of practice and needs to be done everyday. You want to make card counting second nature because in Vegas they use at least 5-6 decks at a time! So your addition and division skills need to be very sharp.
