Good advice for noisy neighbors !

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Pen
  • Patience
  • a good sense of humor
  1. Step 1

If you live in an apartment building, duplex or any other kind of shared space you may need to use this advice eventually... and you will not be the first!!!

  2. Step 2

Call a friend and have a good laugh about it!

  3. Step 3

Get over how uncomfortable this makes you feel.

Think how they will feel when they get the note!

  4. Step 4

Write the politest note possible to your landlord, superintendent, or your neighbor explaining that your nightly sleep is being interrupted by thumping coming from the wall next door.

There really is no better way to put it.

  5. Step 5

Giggle under your breath and avoid eye contact with that neighbor for - well forever.

  6. Step 6

Here are some funny quotes about embarrasment for you to enjoy:

One of the most frightening things about your true nerd, for many people, is not that he's socially inept - because everybody's been there - but rather his complete lack of embarrassment about it.
    Neal Stephenson

The rate at which a person can mature is directly proportional to the embarrassment he can tolerate.”
    ~ Douglas Engelbart

  7. Step 7

on 12/22/2008 That's what my neighbor in house had been doing. He wasn't even supposed to be there, quite a mess. I finally called police and he was taken out - but landlady afraid of police. The girl then was taken away by police for banging on my door. They know you can hear it.

on 8/14/2008 This reminds me of the man above me in the hotel in April, instid of headbanging the headboard, he was screaming and cussing at his wife over the phone all night. I should have called someone, but I could hardly laugh about it. Adorable article though.

on 7/24/2008 We learned about this when it actually ahppened to a friend in my building!

We were cracking up because the building manager said we had to 'put something in writing' before they could bring the issue up to the noisemakers!
