Step 1
Visit GameSpot.com. Part of CNET's entertainment network, GameSpot has reviews, cheats, hint and walk-throughs for many video games, regardless of the console. From the home page, click on the console you own (Xbox 360), then use the search bar to search for the title of the game you need help with. All available resources for that game will then be displayed.
-
Step 2
Search IGN.com. This is another comprehensive resource with walk-throughs for all types of games. Use the search function to find your game, then select from the available walk-through files.
-
Step 3
Visit the game's official website. You can find its URL on the game box or disc. Once you're on the website, click on the forums or the support section. From there, you will be put in contact with people who have both play-related and technical questions about that game.
-
Step 4
Google it. Chances are, you aren't the first person to get stuck on this particular game. If you Google the name of the game and the place in which you are stuck, you will probably find answers from people who experienced the problem before you. For example, you might Google the terms "GTA IV XYZ Mission."

Step 5
Buy the book. If there's a game you get stuck on a lot, or you merely want to make sure you don't miss anything, you might as well buy the game guide. Game guides are available in the game section of your local bookstore, and contain comprehensive information on every aspect of the game, including characters and maps, lists of weapons and more.
