Whether you want to draw a side profile or full frontal view of a character, there is a guide to help you do it. Instructions

    • 1

Draw a circle. Draw a horizontal, curving line to place the nose and ear. Draw a vertical curving line to place the chin. Draw a base line at the bottom of the circle to place the neck.

    • 2

Start at the top of the circle and trace until you reach the horizontal guideline. Next, draw a line that slants downward and to the right, until you reach the guideline. Slant the line outward, past the circle guideline to form a small triangle. Now, slant the line back towards the circle. Next, start working on the jaw. Use your own discretion regarding the type of jaw line you wish to create.

    • 3

Draw the ears near the guideline. The ears should be placed somewhat across from the eyes and nose. Start drawing the hair. Draw the bangs flowing in front of the face and the hair sliding back toward the neck.

    • 4

Erase the guidelines. Draw the body and appropriate details.
