The easiest way to find a cargo container that you can use when you move is to open the telephone book and look in the yellow pages for “freight services”. If you have difficulty locating a container, you can also use the services of PODS (Portable On Demand Storage) by calling 866-229-4120.

A large truck will deliver the cargo container and drop it off in your driveway. If no driveway is available, the cargo container can be left in the street in front of your house, but you may be required to obtain a local permit to have the container left on a city street.

Pack all of your belongings into the cargo container, just the way you would pack them into a moving truck. Remember to pack your belongings into boxes first and to wrap delicate items to help make sure they arrive at the final destination without being damaged.

Call the freight company that delivered the cargo container and arrange to have a truck come pick the container up. Give them the destination address of where you would like to have the cargo container delivered.
