Instructions

    • 1

Assemble all your material on a clean table top. Put your beads in a cup for easy access while you are working. Have your glue ready for the assembly of your necklace.

    • 2

Pick up your first wire strand, and start to string nine randomly selected black beads. Arrange the first and last bead to be 2 1/2 inches from the ends of the wire. The remaining seven beads are to be placed in random lengths along the strand. Once you have placed your beads on the wire, take the glue and squeeze a dab into the bead hole of each bead. Set the strand to lay straight on the table. Repeat this procedure for the remaining two strands. Leave the beaded strands to remain untouched overnight.

    • 3

Pick up all three strands of wire--your beads should be glued into place. Hold the wires together at one end, and secure them together with a crimp-end connector. Use the crimping pliers to fold each of the side flaps over the wires to trap them into place.

    • 4

Trim away the excess wires where they emerge from the connectors.

    • 5

Take your lobster clasp, and attach to one of the crimp end connectors using pliers to open the loop on the clasp. Slide the clasp into the loop of the crimp end connector, and use the pliers to close the loop to secure the clasp into place.

    • 6

Pick up your pre-made chain, measure out 3 1/2" with your ruler and cut the chain. Open one of the links in the chain and attach it to the free crimp end connector with a 4 millimeter jump ring.

    • 7

Slide a small black bead onto the head pin, and create a loop at the top to attach it to the last link of the chain. Your necklace is finished.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can choose to use other types of beads to make the same necklace. Soft pearls will make delicate strands. Or you can use brightly colored beads for a more vivid necklace.

  • Allow the glue to set over night. The beads will remain in place, and appear as if they are floating around your neck
