Instructions

    • 1

Cut several coat hangers so that you have enough wire sections to space every 12 inches in your planter.

    • 2

Bend the wire sections into U shapes.

    • 3

Place wire Us into the soil of the planter box, legs down so they form small arches. Space them every foot or so, using enough so you have at least three in each box--one on each end, and one in the middle for support.

    • 4

Wrap a plastic bag around the entire planter box. You can also use plastic wrap, but this will be harder to remove to check on your plants. The plastic will keep moisture inside the little greenhouse, and the extra moisture will provide the plants with the humidity that they need.

    • 5

Punch a few holes in the top of the bag, using a pen or small knife. This will help vent the greenhouse, but be careful not punch too many or else you will lose too much of the humidity.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can use grocery bags, dry cleaning bags- just be careful that the bag will light into the greenhouse. You don't want to use an opaque bag, such as a heavy trash bag. The plants need light.

  • Don't punch too many holes into the roof of the greenhouse or you will let all the moisture out.
