How to Make an Origami Lily

Origami is the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. Origami is fun to make for both children and adults. Once mastered, this origami lily can be made within just a couple minutes making it good to give to friends.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Fold paper in half.

  2. Step 2

    Unfold paper, and refold the paper in half diagonally.

  3. Step 3

    Unfold paper and fold diagonally from the other side.

  4. Step 4

    Unfold and then fold the paper in half, opposite from the way you did in Step 1. Then unfold again.

  5. Step 5

    Fold paper in half diagonally once again.

  6. Step 6

    Fold the top point down. Turn the paper over.

  7. Step 7

    Fold the flaps into the middle. Do the same on the other side.

  8. Step 8

    Fold the top parts of the flaps out on both sides.

  9. Step 9

    Fold the pointed part of the bottom up, then fold back down. Do this on both sides.

  10. Step 10

    Fold half of the flaps back on both sides. Fold bottom two flaps to the middle on both sides.

  11. Step 11

    Fold all of the flaps down half-way to complete your lily. (See completed lily in top image.)
