The puzzle ring is a beautiful, intricate piece of jewelry, which legend says was designed for a Turkish nobleman to give to his beloved wife. The puzzle ring will fall apart when removed and the nobleman wanted to know if his wife ever removed her ring.Puzzle rings can have anywhere from four or more bands and when placed properly together form one ring. Putting together a puzzle ring is often referred to as solving a puzzle ring because when you solve the puzzle of how the bands are put together, you have put together your puzzle ring!

Things You'll Need:

    The hardest part of solving a puzzle ring can be identifying the inside bands. These bands will form an "x" when brought together. The outside bands will form an “o.” Most jewelers will stamp their mark on one of the inside bands.

    Identify the inside bands. The puzzle parts of the inside bands are not symmetrical. The puzzle part is the crooked part of the band.

    Begin to bring inside bands together. Hold one of the inside bands with your right hand.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not force the puzzle ring together, bending the puzzle can make the ring next to impossible to solve.
  • Rings with bands can be solved in a similar method, you still begin with the two inside bands and simply have more bands to thread through the “x” and drop into place.
