Step 1
Puzzle Ring Taken ApartThe hardest part of solving a puzzle ring can be identifying the inside bands. These bands will form an "x" when brought together. The outside bands will form an “o.” Most jewelers will stamp their mark on one of the inside bands.

Step 2
Inside BandsIdentify the inside bands. The puzzle parts of the inside bands are not symmetrical. The puzzle part is the crooked part of the band.

Outside BandsIdentify the outside bands. The puzzle parts of the outside bands are symmetrical.

Step 4
Inside Bands on the Left and the RightBegin to bring inside bands together. Hold one of the inside bands with your right hand.

Sliding the inside bands together to form an "x"Bringing inside bands together. Slide the left inside band to cover the one on the right, forming an "x." The thin parts of the outside bands are laced through the "x."

"o" formed by outside bands when inside bands are togetherThe outside bands will form an "o."

First outside band spun so that the puzzle part of the band is laced through the "x" formed by the inside bandsLoosely hold the inside bands. Take one outside band and spin the band so that the puzzle part of the band is laced through the “x” formed by the inside bands.

Second outside band spun so that the puzzle part of the band is laced through the "x" formed by the inside bandsTake the other outside band and spin that band so that the puzzle part of the band is laced through the “x” formed by the inside bands.

Puzzle RingThe outside bands will fall into place around the inside bands.
