2. Know you have to have the kind of figure that agencies that hire glamour models want. Standards measurements for glamour models are 34-B for the bust, 22 to 24 to 34 for the hips and 22 to 24 inches for the waist.

3. Get professionally done photos for your portfolio. Choose the ones that show you at your best. You need a portfolio to accompany you to interviews for modeling jobs. Be prepared to pound the pavement with your portfolio to get work. While some websites promise to display your portfolio online, the truth is that it is best to go in person for interviews, since serious companies are unlikely to look for models on online modeling sites.

4. You must be comfortable with having to do lingerie shots and, in some cases, you may be asked to do nude photographs. Although you get paid more for posing for such photographs, you do have a right to express your objections. While it may increase the number of times you get work, being photographed in the raw could also come back to haunt you in the future.
