Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Select stainless over hard anodized. Hard anodized cookware may look beautiful, but if you want to save money you should choose stainless steel. By simply choosing stainless, you will save at least $50. This allows you to still get high quality cookware, but at a more affordable price.

  2. Step 2

Choose sets rather than individual pieces. It doesn’t matter what brand of cookware you choose, you will always save money when you choose sets over individual pieces. High quality brands will sometimes charge $50 per piece. That may not sound too expensive; until you consider that a set sells for $200. A set not only comes with pieces that you will use most often, but it’s also a great way to save money.

  3. Step 3

Wait for the holidays. The holidays are the best time to save money on cookware. This is because stores realize that several people have this item on their holiday shopping list. They lower the prices in hopes that you’ll shop at their store. One of the best times of the year to save money on cookware is Black Friday. Many stores have at least one set on sale.

  4. Step 4

Look for online auctions. Some online sellers deal in store returns. These items have been opened, but are usually in perfect shape. The key is to look closely at the auction details and to do your research. You will need to know how much you can normally expect to spend on that particular brand. If you play your cards right, you could save a lot of money.

  5. Step 5

Visit an outlet mall. Outlet malls usually have at least one kitchen supply store. These stores are a wonderful way to save money on factory overruns and older merchandise. At some stores, you could save up to 75 percent off the retail price.
