Purchase a glass-etching kit at any full-service craft and hobby store. You'll also need a small sharp knife and a good set of wine glasses, champaign flutes or other crystal glassware.
-
2
Read the instructions on the glass-etching kit very carefully. Different manufacturers may have different set times and ways of doing things. Here is the general way that it is done.

3
Print the bride and groom's names onto the contact paper, using the stencils in the kit. Measure the engraving to ensure that it fits well on the glass. Then, using the Exacto knife, carefully cut out the letters and numbers from the contact paper.
-
4
Peel off the back of the contact paper to expose the adhesive. With a steady hand, stick the contact paper onto the glass in the exact place you want the etched letters and numbers.
-
5
Brush or wipe the etching solution onto the glass showing through the cutouts, following the kit's instructions. Usually you will have to leave the solution on for a certain period of time. When that time has passed, peel off the contact paper very carefully, keeping in mind that you will need to stick it to the next glass. Thoroughly rinse the glass until all traces of the etching solution is gone. Repeat with the other glass. You now have a beautiful personalized wedding present to give.
