I know are probably thinking that this is insane, but pineapple is actually good for your skin. It contains a substance called enzyme, which is a natural exfoliant. This is perfect for people who have dry, dull or flaky skin. The addition of honey is great because it also has natural antioxidants which help to improve your skin. Relax, make this scrub and send your face on a tropical get-away.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pineapple (cut into tiny pieces)
  • 1 tbsp. Pineapple Juice
  • 1 tbsp. Old-fashioned Oatmeal
  • 1 tbsp. Honey (look for one with no additives)
  • Lukewarm Water
  • 2 Face Cloths
  • Clock or Stop Watch
  • Tablespoon
  • Bowl

    Making the Scrub

  1. Step 1

    Collect the ingredients listed in the "Items You Need" section.

  2. Step 2

    Crush the pineapple, and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Throw the crushed pieces of pineapple into the bowl as well.

  3. Step 3

    Add the oatmeal and honey.

  4. Step 4

    Mix well.

  5. Using it

  6. Step 1

    Wet your face with lukewarm water. The water acts to prepare and dry your skin.

  7. Step 2

    Gently massage the scrub into your skin using circular motions. Be very careful to not get any into your eyes.

  8. Step 3

    Leave the scrub on for about 5 minutes.

  9. Step 4

    Moisten a face cloth with warm water.

  10. Step 5

    Gently remove the scrub. Be careful not to get any in your eyes.

  11. Step 6

    Once removed, dry your face with a clean towel by patting your face to remove excess water.

  12. Step 7

    Use a moisturizer to help seal the nutrients. Apply sparsely to prevent clogging of the pores.

Tips & Warnings
  • By using natural fruit and ingredients, the scrub with give your skin a fresh look and smell very yummy!
  • For a high antioxidant facial, try natural honey all over your face.
  • Before using, apply a small amount to your face where it wont be as noticed (under your chin or on your forehead) to see if you will have a reaction. Remove as above and wait 12 to 24 hours before applying onto your face.
  • Keep this out of your eyes. Pineapple juice stings and may burn.
