    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Plaid shirt with '70s flair
    • Makeup for freckles

Go to a wig store or costume store and buy a dark brown wig. Bobby Brady’s hair was also thick and slightly wavy. Also, through most of the show, he had a modified bowl cut. His hair fell across his face in a wave pattern. During certain seasons, it was cropped close to the side of his face and during others it hung loose. If you can’t find a wig that fits this description for your costume, just get the closest brown wig and cut it yourself.

Get a plaid or blue denim shirt with a big collar for your Bobby Brady costume. The material should be cotton and you should be able to button it all the way up and tuck it into your pants. Remember, Bobby Brady's look was very conservative.

Obtain a pair of tan or brown corduroy pants. Corduroy was very popular in the '60s and '70s. As a result, it would be great for your Bobby Brady costume. Other than jeans, he wore a pair of these to school on a regular basis. Be sure your pants are not embellished with anything and the end of the legs should be straight, not flared. If you really want to stand out, get “plaid” corduroy pants.

Buy a pair of brown hush puppies or basic sneakers. Bobby Brady was a child of the '70s, so he didn’t wear fancy sneakers. As you build your Bobby Brady costume make sure the shoes on your feet don't stand out.

Find fake braces to put over your teeth. Your Bobby Brady costume wouldn’t be finished without a good pair of teeth tracks. Head to your local gag store or party store and pick up a pair.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Don't forget to add freckles to your face. Freckles were a signature part of Bobby Brady's fresh and youthful look.

    • Wearing a Bobby Brady costume may create uncontrollable laughter.
