      Open Internet Explorer and click on "Tools" on the menu located at the top of the browser.

      Click the "General" tab when the Internet Options pop-up window appears.

      Click on “Delete” under Browsing History.

      Click the "Delete Cookies…" button.

      Click "Yes" when the pop-up window appears.

      Locate the option to delete cookies (labeled "Cookies") in the Privacy Settings, which will open in the right side of the window. The cookies option is near the bottom of the list.

  • Many anti-virus programs also feature anti-spyware programs now. Check your anti-virus program’s website for info and let the program do the work for you.

  • Remember, when you delete cookies yourself, you may delete the “good” cookies too. The good cookies are the ones that remember your web browsing history, favorites and log-ins. In order to avoid losing these cookies, use a good spyware program such as Windows Defender or Spybot – Search & Destroy to clean your system of unwanted cookies. Both programs are available free online and have good reputations.
