1
Get your web site indexed. You need to let the search engines know that your web site is out there. Submit your site URL to Google, Yahoo and MSN. All that is involved is providing your web address and a brief description of what your site is all about.
-
2
Write articles about your web site topic and submit them to article directories such as ezine articles. In the biography section of your article place a link to your web site. This is a very popular method and usually gives the best results.

3
Create a blog about the same topic your web site is about and link it back to your website. Blogs tend to be indexed quickly by search engines, so place a link in your blog to redirect the traffic to your web site.

Join and participate in forums. Find a forum related to your topic or niche. Make sure the forum allows you to put links in your signature. The signature is located at the bottom of your post. In your signature, put a link to your web site. Post as often as you like but make sure you contribute quality information or else no one will take you seriously and more than likely not click on your web site link.
