Hold your baby out in front of you so that the baby's back is up against your stomach. The baby will be looking forward just as you are. Walk around the house holding your baby in this position. This may relieve some of the pressure of the gas instead of allowing the baby to lay down and keep the gas trapped.

Burp your baby. This can help expel some of the gas and is comforting to your baby at the same time. Anytime you hold you baby up against your skin a baby will feel comforted. Then use your hand to gently pat your baby's back to expel some of the gas.
