How to Heal With Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree is a wild Australian bush that is the source of tea tree oil, one of the most active essential oils. Tea tree oil stimulates, provides antiseptic action and has a refreshing scent. It blends with other antiseptic oils such as lavender, lemon and rosemary.

• Eucalyptus oil
• Lavender oil

1. 

   Stimulate your immune system with tea tree oil's ability to activate white blood corpuscles, helping the body defend against infection. Tea tree oil is especially beneficial in treating fungal and respiratory infections.

2. 

   Prevent the spread of germs. Wash your hands with tea tree oil soap when colds are circulating. Use a facial steam, using ten drops of tea tree oil with five drops of eucalyptus in boiling water. Inhale the steam.

3. 

   Treat acne on the face and body with a tea tree scrub. Add seven drops of tea tree oil to a quarter cup of oatmeal. Apply to a loofah and gently scrub affected areas in the shower.

4. 

   Eliminate warts with undiluted tea tree oil. Apply three times a day for a few weeks. This antiseptic treatment quickly works on stings and bites as well.

5. 

   Cool sunburn and soothe bruises with a tea tree oil compress. Blend ten drops of tea tree oil with five drops of lavender essential oil in cold water. Apply to the affected area.
