How to Install a Network Card on a PC

To surf the Internet these days, you need to have a network card installed on your computer. Installing a network card is very simple and will get you on the Internet in no time!

Things You’ll Need:

• Screwdriver (optional to remove computer casing)

1. Shut down your computer, and unplug the power.
2. Open the computer case. Locate an open PCI slot (the white slots, underneath the 56K modem, usually).
3. Use a screwdriver to remove the cover from the outside of the slot.
4. Insert the network card into the slot, and screw into place.
5. Replace the computer cover, plug in the power and reboot.
