Never believe what you get in an email as a forward. Many times these are hoaxes. Always be sure to check the source and validity before assuming what you read is the truth.
Read Barack Obama's books. You will read for yourself what he says and believes out of his own words and come to your own conclusions. Read: Audacity of Hope, Dreams from My Father, The Essential Barack Obama, Barack Obama In His Own Words.
Step2
Watch the News for yourself. It may be easier to just search Barack Obama in You Tube than trying to catch him live on TV. Be sure that the source is a trusted source for validity. Newspapers are great but they tend to slant and omit important information to lead the reader in one direction.
Step3
Use the internet. Websites such as Snopes are in the business of fact finding when it comes to circulating emails. If you are interested to find out if you have received a hoax email regarding Barack Obama, cut and past this website into your browser: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/obama.asp
Tips & Warnings
Come to your own conclusions. Never let anyone tell you who to vote for.

Snopes is great! I also send the article link back to the person who sent me the email. Unfortunately the spammers are now putting that they checked with snopes and it's true, and most people just forward thinking well, good, I don't have to check. There are other "urban legend" sites that do what snopes does, too. Thanks.

on 8/30/2008 I always check Snopes when I get those crazy emails - then I send the truth right back to the person who sent me the email. Great points!

on 7/26/2008 Yes! The mainstream media will only tell you what they want you to know, nothing else. We should always do our own research. 5*****
