Sending a gift of flowers can happily mark a special occasion for your friends, family and even colleagues in Europe. Sending flowers all the way to Norway may seem challenging, but here are 3 simple ways to do it. Learn how to send flowers to Norway and brighten that special someone's day!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a local florist in Norway, using online business listings. Dealing with a local florist generally gives you more options, personalized service and faster delivery. There's also no middle man to deal with, so the prices can be less expensive. To save money on long distance charges, look for florists with their own websites. Stavanger Flowers is a local florist with a website in English for those that don't speak Norwegian. See Resources for all florist links.

  2. Step 2

Use a florist network based in Europe to simplify your search. IFlorist UK and Flora Queen work with local shops in Norway to hand deliver your flowers to their destination. Be aware that even though these networks are located closer to your destination, they still charge the higher network prices to cover all administrative fees.

  3. Step 3

Work with an international florist network. These sites are part of huge networks that work together to deliver flowers to Norway or other countries around the world. Fleurop (part of FTD and Interflora) offers some less expensive floral options as well as same day delivery if you order early. Remember that Norway's time zone is well ahead of the United States. Florist network 1-800-Flowers offers floral arrangements, baskets, and live plants for delivery to Norway. Selections can be narrower on these international sites, but you can always phone them to see if special arrangements can be made.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always read the fine print. Search the florist websites for specific Norway delivery information and any extra international charges. Be conscious of the time zone difference, as well as Norwegian holidays that are different from U.Ss holidays.
  • Consider sending flowers at least a few days ahead of your recipient's birthday or anniversary. They'll still have the gift of flowers on their special day, and there's some time to work with if there are any problems or late deliveries from the Norwegian florist or florist network.
