1
Start with bell bottoms. You cannot neglect this important part of the costume and it may be one of the more difficult items to find when putting together your Greg Brady costume. While most of the costume elements can be found in many a home's closet, this wardrobe staple for modern fashionistas in the 1970s may be a bit harder to come by.

2
Pick out a groovy, patterned, brightly colored shirt with long sleeves that buttons down. Look for one that spells out '70s fun in fabric, texture and style. Any fun and outrageous color that reflects the '70s fashion will do and the more outrageous, the more authentic you will look. Remember the big collars of the 1970s were popular on shirts so the bigger the collar, the better.

Find a short, brunette wig that is slightly curly. You can consider getting a temporary perm or curling your hair a bit with a curling iron if you naturally have dark hair that is on the shorter side of long. It's somewhere between a short cut and long hair. You'll look really groovy when this part of the costume is complete.

4
Practice your Greg smile in the mirror. Look at the Greg photograph with this article. That was Greg's signature...his knowing smile. Make sure you get the mannerism down by looking at his photographs and scenes from the show. He won over lots of girls with that smile.

5
Pick out some funky shoes. Greg is secure enough to wear anything so you can use your imagination in this step to get a bit wild. You can mute the costume down by wearing some casual loafers, or you can choose to do something that would be suitable for the rock star side of Greg. Remember, he was once turned into a rock star sans siblings.

Tips & Warnings
Watch old episodes of the television classic sitcom to get added inspiration for your Greg Brady costume.
Don't neglect to pay attention to what made each Brady unique if you and your friends choose to collectively dress as the characters from the show. This is a fantastic idea for added fun for your masquerade or Halloween night, but you need to get together beforehand to discuss costume details. Each character and sibling should be easily distinguished from the other.
